Have you ever seen one? Wow are they entertaining! In 2012 I backpacked for 3 months in Kenya and had the most exciting night watching Hippos through my tent at the water edge of Lake Baringo in the Rift Valley. To top it off, in the morning when I had my breakfast, I was surrounded by a few of these red-billed hornbills. They hopped onto the table ready to help themselves to my breakfast. I didn't mind with such beautiful birds for company and also a few Marabou storks on the side waiting very patiently for some pancakes! I'll share my breakfast any day for such an experience!
